11/29/2022 0 Comments Autocad hangs on checking license![]() Incidentally, I had this same issue loading AutoCAD 2016 on a Windows 7 system a couple weeks ago. What's really odd however is that the one I'm having the checking license issue with will start AutoCAD every now and just takes about 6 minutes to do so. The other has the checking license issue like yours. One starts up AutoCAD without any issues at all. I have two nearly identical Windows 10 laptops with AutoCAD 2014 installed on them. This is a site about software problems, you will always find all kinds of problems posted: there is no site for "no problems" in the world, it doesn't work like that. Ideally for old software like 2014, you ought to stick with old Operating Systems too Roll back from Win10 to Win7/8 if that's still an option: NET framework 4.5 and then install Auto CAD on the computer. When you install Win 10, make sure to install all latest updates for Win 10 from MSFT before installing Autodesk Products. Recent release of hotfixes from Microsoft for Windows 10, most Autodesk packages should get installed without any issues. Why in the hell has Autodesk let such a stupid issue like checking the license keep going for YEARS across 3 different version of Windows and not do something about it. I see LOTS of posts about this issue with Windows 7 and 8. I've given myself full permissions to the autodesk folder in program files as well. The program just starts and when it gets to checking license it closes when in compatibility mode. I've tried deleting the license file under C:\ProgramData\Flexnet, tried making a new user profile, tried running in compatibility mode for windows 7, 8. I have turned off AV, removed AV, completely reloaded the laptop numerous times with a fresh install of Windows 10 Professional. ![]() After it's installed and I run it, the program hangs on Checking License. My issue is that it installs fine and lets me put in my student license no problem. Autocad 2016 runs fine, I haven't checked 2015. That is the version currently being used by the class. ![]() I have a student license and I've downloaded Autocad 2014 圆4 for my Autocad Class. I'm a student and I was as a User Support Manager at the same college I goto handling all the computer, printer, scanner, and some server issues for the campus. I have tried all the fixes I could find on the internet to resolve this issue. I have read that there may be issues with 2014 Autocad and Windows 10. ![]()
